In July of 2009, Three Legged Fox released Higher Love 2.0...an alternate version to the track found on their album Not as Far released earlier the same year. The band decided they wanted to press and sell a select 100 limited edition CD's. As a B-Side to Higher Love 2.0, they recorded the track Away acoustically. This B-Side was never made available on the internet, or on iTunes and was largely forgotten about...until now. Free for anybody, Away (Acoustic) is now available for download. Enjoy it. Share it.

The Three Legged Fox family would like to extend a sincere Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday Season to each and all of you. As we wrap up our 2011 tour schedule, inevitably we look back at the year we’ve had, and the year fast approaching. We are overwhelmed by the growth and support shown to the band this year as we released our third studio album Always Anyway in August. This new record spent three days in the Top 5 on the iTunes Reggae Charts reaching as high as #2 on the day it was released. It was a gratifying feeling to see this 18-month project completed and then so warmly embraced. The band more than anybody understands the risks it took in releasing an album so different in sound and production and we are appreciative of everybody who has come with us for the ride and helped make this our biggest album yet.

In July, our lead guitarist, founding member and dear friend Mike Brody informed the group of his decision to leave Three Legged Fox. Brody had such an influential presence on Three Legged Fox with his sound and playing style and losing him was tough to stomach for everybody. He played more than 350 shows, and tracked three albums including Always Anyway with the band from 2006 through much of 2011. His departure is unfortunate to say the least and we continue to miss him every night we take the stage. In deciding what to do after his leaving, Three Legged Fox has had the pleasure of finally adding a keyboardist to the lineup; something we’d wanted to do for a long time. Jon Duxbury, a Philadelphia native came aboard in August to start the Always Anyway Tour and continues to strengthen our live sound. With 35 shows scheduled from August through the beginning of December, Duxbury came in to help relieve the band of having to entertain the idea of canceling performances and having him with us full-time has been an enormous boost. All that said, the show goes on; and so we find it an appropriate time to announce the auditioning of guitarists going on during this holiday break. Looking toward 2012, 3LF can confirm plans for their first full-on United States Tour including our first trip to the West Coast. There are so many cities throughout the country that we’ve never been, and with the steady load of requests we receive daily we are proud to announce that we will indeed be coming to see many of you next year. Coupled with extensive touring, we’d also like to announce that there will be new Three Legged Fox music released in 2012. The details regarding how exactly these songs will be made available is still in its planning period. There are a number of alternatives to releasing full-on albums and we’re going to do our best to present new material that will provide the best value for our fans and for us. We are an indie band blessed enough to have our own studio, so we’re going to make sure we use it.

There was a conversation just recently among the band about how we feel as though we’re still just getting started. We’ve got so much still to do, and so many places still to see. We are nothing but excited for 2012 and beyond that.
